You can enter any valid telephone number or telephone system
extension number in the telep hone number field. You should not
enter a voice mail System I D in this field. You can inclu de , in the
number for a pause. For a subscribe r mailbox, you can place an X in
the telephone number field to signify tha t the telephone numbe r is
identical to the Extension # ID. For a transaction box, X in the
telephone number field indicates tha t the numb er is the sa me a s the
box System ID.
Call Transfer Type
This unlabeled field, below Day/N ite opti ons i n the Transfer section,
sets the way the voice m ail system transfers calls.
Rings
With Wait Ring call transfer, this field specifies the number of times
the voice mail system rings before releasing the call. With
Await-Ans call transfer, it specifies the number of t imes the voice
mail system rings before returning to the caller to play the greeting
and take an action.
Intro (Transaction Box or Operator Box)
The voice mail system plays a reco rding in t his field b efore t rying to
transfer a call.
Screening? (Subscribers Only)
If this field is Yes, screening options are us e d. If it is No, call transfer
options in the Transfer Options field are used.
Holding?
This indicates whether or not you w ant to allow calls to hold if the line
is busy. This refers only to the voice mail system call holding feature,
not to the Electra Elite. You can allow callers to hold by pressing a
touchtone or by saying Yes. For d et a ils, refer to Chapter 2 Se ction 1

Transfer Options
Screening Options(Subscribe rs On ly)
The call transfer or screening opt ions are u sed on ly if c all tra nsfer is
turned on and call transfer is Await-Ans. Before turnin g on transfe r
or screening options, verify that ca ll transfer is not Release or Wa it
Ring.
