AIX Installation Checklists

	Install EMC ODM		CAUTION Do not reboot the server.	administrator’s guide
	Support software	❑ Disconnect any non-FC4700 or non-CX-Series storage systems.
			PowerPath does not support these storage systems.
		❑ Insert the AIX Utilities Kit CD and mount it.
		❑ Install EMC ODM Support using SMIT or ODM or the command line.
		Note: The EMC ODM Support package is available on the ftp site
		ftp://ftp.emc.com/pub/elab/aix/ODM_DEFINITIONS
		❑	Reboot the server.
5	Server	Note: PowerPath requires IBM PCI HBAs and the driver supported by IBM for		HBA documentation
	Replace IBM	AIX.
	HBAs and/or	❑ If the server has IBM HBAs connected to the storage system, replace them
	Install additional		with the IBM HBAs.
	HBAs	❑ If you need additional HBAs to provide more paths to the storage system,
			install these HBAs.
			CAUTION Do not connect cables to the HBAs until you are told to do so
			later in this procedure.
6	Server	❑ If the following software is currently installed and not at the required		HBA driver

			• Navisphere Host Agent and CLI	Software for AIX

			• admsnap
		❑ Execute the following command:		AIX documentation
