Checklist - New Tru64 UNIX Server and New Storage System With Boot Disk

This checklist is for a new storage system that will contain a Tru64 UNIX boot disk. If you do not want the new storage system to contain a boot disk, use the procedure that starts on page 6-4.

Install the Fibre Channel HBAs.

switch port.

 

 

 

• For a DS-xxB2 switch, both LEDs are green, which

 

 

 

indicates that a 2-Gbit HBA port is logged in to the

 

 

 

switch port.

 

 

 

• For a DS-xxM2 switch, the left LED is blue and the

 

 

 

right LED is off, which indicates that a 2-Gbit HBA

 

 

 

port is logged in to the switch port.
