118Chapter 7: Unpack and inspect hardware

9If all the hardware components appear to be in order, repack them and store them in a safe place until you are ready to install them. Return any defective items to the manufacturer with a description of the defects. You should use the original containers if possible. If an original container is not available, wrap the item several times in air- cap cushion material, place it in a suitable cardboard container, and surround it with paper packing material. Ensure that the cardboard container is sufficiently strong to handle the weight of the item.
