15When the tape indicator goes off, type 2 and press [Return].

16You are prompted to enter the alternate boot device. Type 4, and press [Return].

17When the start-up interrupt menu reappears, type 1 and press [Return] to continue the system start-up.

The system starts up. A series of test messages will appear on one line across the screen for approximately ten minutes. The system start-up messages begin to appear as shown in the following figure.
