4Connect the modem directly to the IPE Module or Application Module, as described in Chapter 9, ÒMeridian Link/CCR interface cabling.Ó

If the modem installation is successful, the LED labelled ÒTRÓ on the front panel of the modem lights up.

The following procedure explains how to configure the UDS 2440 modem using a workstation.

1Connect the modem to a workstation and apply power to both.

2Enter each entry shown under the ÒInputÓ column in Table 104 and press [Enter]. The system response to each entry should be ÒOK.Ó

3Power down the workstation and the modem.

4Disconnect the modem from the workstation.

5Connect the modem to the IPE Module using an NT1R03HF cable, or to an Application Module using an NT7D99AA cable.

If the modem installation is successful, the LED labelled ÒTRÓ on the front panel of the modem lights up.
