Chapter 9: Meridian Link/CCR interface cabling 173

ESDI/MSDL cabling (Options 21Ð81 IPE Module)

As shown in Figure 45, port 5 of the NT1R03AA cable connects to the NT6D80 MSDL card through an NTND27AB cable and, if additional length is needed, through an NT1R03D extension cable. For pinouts of the NT1R03AA, NT8D82, NT1R03D, and NTND27 cables, refer to ÒExternal I/O cable pinoutsÓ in this chapter. From the Meridian 1 I/O panel or the ESDI/MSDL on the Meridian 1, an NT7D58 cable connects to the IPE Module. Refer to Table 55.

As shown in Figures 45 and 46, port 5 of the NT1R03AA cable connects to the QPC513 ESDI card through an NT8D82 cable and, if additional length is needed, through an NT1R03D extension cable. The NT6D80 MSDL card connects to the Meridian 1 I/O panel using an NTND27 SCSI II cable. From the Meridian 1 I/O panel or the ESDI/MSDL on the Meridian 1, an NT7D58 cable connects to the IPE Module at

SDI cabling (Options 21Ð81 IPE Module)

As shown in Figures 45 and 46, port 3 of the NT1R03AA cable connects to SDI cards (except the NT8D41 SDI Paddle Board) through an NT8D82 cable, and if additional length is needed, through an NT1R03D cable. (See Table 42 for lengths and specific codes.) For pinouts of the NT1R03AA, NT8D82, and NT1R03D cables, refer to ÒExternal I/O cable pinoutsÓ in this chapter. The NT6D80 MSDL card connects to the Meridian 1 I/O panel using an NTND27 SCSI II cable. From the Meridian 1 I/O panel, an NT7D58 cable connects to the IPE Module.

For more information about Option 11 SDI ports, refer to Option 11 Technical Reference GuideÑBook 1 (NTP 553-3011-100).
