Configuring IG MP Snooping

Configuring a Host Statically to Join a Group

Hosts or Layer 2 ports normally join multicast groups dynamically, b ut you can also statically configure
a host on an in terface .
Beginn ing in pri vile ged EXEC mode, follo w the se steps to add a Layer 2 port a s a member of a multicast
group:
To remove the Layer 2 port from the multicast group, use the no ip igmp snooping vlan vlan-id static
mac-address interface interface-id global configurati on comma nd.
Step 3 end Return to privileged EXEC mode.
Step 4 show ip igmp snooping mrouter [vlan vlan-id] Verify that IGMP snooping is enabled on the VLAN interface.
Step 5 copy running-config startup-config (Optiona l) Save your entries in the co nfigurati on file.
