All stan dby-group memb ers must be me mber s of the clust er.
Note There is no limit to the number of switches that you can assign as standby command
switches. However, the total number of switches in the clusterwhich would include the
active command switc h, standby-gr oup mem bers, and memb er swit chesca nnot be more
than 16.
Each standby-group member (see Figure 6-9) must be conne cted to the command switch through its
management VLAN. Each standby-group member must also be redundantly connected to each other
through the management VLAN.

candidate and member switches in VLANs different from their management VLANs.
