To disable UDLD on a non-fiber-optic interface, use the no udld enable interface configuration
comm an d.
Note O n fiber-optic i n terface s, the no udld enable command reverts the interface configuration to the udld
enable globa l configurati on comm and setting .
To disable UDLD on a fiber-optic interface, use the udld disable comm an d to revert to the udld enable

Resetting an Interface Shut Down by UDLD

Beginning in privileged EXEC mode, follow these steps to reset all interfaces shut down by UDLD:
You can al so bring up the interface by using these comma nds:
The shutdown int erface configur ation command fo llowed by the no shutdown interface
configuration command restarts the disabled interface.
The no udld enable global configurat ion comm and re- enables UD LD glo bally.
The udld disable interface configuration command re-enables UDLD on the specified interface.
Step 3 udld {aggressive | enable} Specif y the UDLD mode of opera tion:
aggressiveEnables UDLD in a ggressive mode on th e specified
interface. For details on the usage guidelines for the aggressive
mode, re fer to th e comm and ref erence guide.
enableEnables UDLD in normal mode on the specified
interface. UDLD is disabled by default.
On a f iber- optic interf ace, this comman d over rides the udld e nable
global configurati on comm and setti ng.
Step 4 end Return to pr ivileged EX EC m ode.
Step 5 show udld interface-id Verify your entries.
Step 6 copy running-config startup-config (Optional) Save your entries in the configuration file.
