Examples

This example shows how a super‐user would change the Read‐Write password from the system default (blank string):

C3(su)->set password rw

Please enter new password: ********

Please re-enter new password: ********

Password changed.

This example shows how a user with Read‐Write access would change his password:

C3(su)->set password

Please enter old password: ********

Please enter new password: ********

Please re-enter new password: ********

set system password length

Use this command to set the minimum user login password length.

Syntax

set system password length characters

Parameters

characters	Specifies the minimum number of characters for a user account password.
	Valid values are 0 to 40.

Defaults

None.

Mode

Switch command, super user.

Example

This example shows how to set the minimum system password length to 8 characters:

C3(su)->set system password length 8

set system password aging

Use this command to set the number of days user passwords will remain valid before aging out, or to disable user account password aging.

Syntax

set system password aging {days disable}
