Administration Commands

define_sdlc_ls

Dial data for outgoing calls. This parameter applies only to switched links; it is reserved if the port associated with this LS is defined as nonswitched.

This parameter specifies the dial string to be passed to the modem to initiate the call. Support for dial data depends on the SDLC driver, adapter, and modem that you are using; if the driver, adapter, or modem do not support dial data, do not specify this parameter.

The dial data may need to contain non-printable control characters; for example, it may have to be terminated with a carriage return, equivalent to pressing the [Enter] key. For details of how to specify these control characters, see Section 2.51.4, Modem Control Characters.

max_ifrm_rcvd

Maximum number of I-frames that can be received by the local link stations before an acknowledgment is sent. Specify a value in the range 1127.

dlus_retry_timeout

The interval in seconds between the second and subsequent attempts to contact the DLUS specified by the dlus_name and bkup_dlus_name parameters. The interval between the first and second attempts is always 1 second.

Specify a value in the range 065,535. If you specify 0, the default specified using de- fine_dlur_defaults is used. This parameter is ignored if the dspu_services parameter is not set to DLUR.

dlus_retry_limit

Retry count for contacting a DLUS. This parameter is used to specify the number of times SNAplus2 should retry if it fails to contact the DLUS on the first attempt.

Specify a value in the range 165,534, or specify 65,535 to indicate that SNAplus2 should retry indefinitely until it contacts the DLUS.

branch_link_type

This parameter applies only if the local node is a Branch Network Node; it is not used if the local node is any other type.

If the parameter adj_cp_type is set to NETWORK_NODE, END_NODE, APPN_NODE, or BACK_LEVEL_LEN_NODE, this parameter defines whether the link is an uplink or a downlink. Possible values are:

UPLINK

The link is an uplink.

DOWNLINK

The link is a downlink.

If adj_cp_type is set to NETWORK_NODE, this parameter must be set to UPLINK.

adj_brnn_cp_support

This parameter applies only if the local node is a Branch Network Node and the adjacent node is a network node (the parameter adj_cp_type is set to NETWORK_NODE, or it is set to APPN_NODE and the node type discovered during XID exchange is network node). It is not used if the local and remote nodes are any other type.

This parameter defines whether the adjacent node can be a Branch Network Node that is acting as a Network Node from the point of view of the local node. Possible values are:

ALLOWED

The adjacent node is allowed (but not required) to be a Branch Network Node.
