Calls are not transferred properly

Possible Cause

Transferred calls ring first on intercom then on a line button

Possible Cause

Corrective Action

When the mail system transfers a call to a phone that has a line appearance for the line on which the call is received, the call rings on the intercom button until the mail system finishes the transfer. Then the call moves to a line button. This is normal operation.

Wait until the ringing pattern changes from “ring...BEEP” to “ring...BEEP...BEEP.” Then pick up the call.

No one is on the line when you first answer a transferred call

You picked up the call while the transfer was still in progress.
