13.2 Parameter initialization function

"The parameter initialization function" is used to return the setting data set in the Q D75

buffer memory and flash ROM to their factory-set in it ial v alu e s.

The details shown below explain about the "param eter initialization function".

• Initialization is executed with a sequence progr am.

• Initialization is executed by peripheral de vice.

Refer to GX Configurator-QP Operating Manual for the execution method by

peripheral device.

[2] Control details

The following table shows the setting data in itialized by the "parameter

initialization function".

(The data initialized are "buffer memor y" and " flash ROM " setting data.)

[3] Precautions during control

(1) Parameter initializat ion is only executed when the positioning control is not

carried out (when the PLC READY signal (Y0) is OFF).

A warning "In PLC READY (warning code: 111)" will occur if executed wh en

the PLC READY signal (Y0) is ON.

(2) A writing to the flash ROM is up to 100,000 times. If writing to the flas h ROM

exceeds 100,000 times, the writing may becom e impossible, and a flash

ROM write error (error code: 801) will occur.

(3) A "PLC CPU reset" or "PL C power restart" must be carried out after the

parameters are initialized.

(4) If an error occurs on the parameter se t in the QD75 when the PLC READY

signal [Y0] is turned ON, the QD75 READY signal [X0] will not be tu rned ON

and the control cannot be carried out.

Important

Parameter initialization takes about 10 seco nds. (Up to 30 seconds are sometimes

required.)

Do not turn the power ON/OFF; reset the PLC CPU, e tc., during parameter

initialization. The flash ROM data may be c orrupted.
