Chapter2 Shelf Management Commands users

users

Users—display the ID of each user logged into a card.

The users command shows the:

•Access method and port (telne t s e s sio n to th e P X M 4 5 , f or ex am p le )

•Current card slot

•Idle time for the user session (can depend on the sesntimeout command)

•User-name (the login name)

•Point from which the user gaine d acce s s ( f or exa m p le, an I P ad d re ss in t he ca s e o f a t el ne t se ssion

or the word “console” if the user logg ed i n through a local terminal at th e c on s o le po r t)

Note that users shows the current user sessions, whereas the dspusers command shows th e nam es of all

the user accounts on the switch whether or not a corresponding user has logged in.
