Test the integrity of the connection in the ingress direction by sending a collection of supervisory cells
to the remote end of the netw ork an d back. (See tstconseg f o r th e eg res s d ir ect io n .) Th e tstdelay
command applies to only SPVCs.
If the test successfully begins, th e display states the fact and direct s y ou to u se th e dspc on or
dspchantests command to view th e r ou nd tr ip ti m e in mi cr os eco nds. T he dspcon display shows detailed
information on the connection and has a field for the test results. The dspchantests display shows the
results of only the round trip delay test.
Note The dspcon fields on the AXSM for round trip delayincluding the status of OAM
loopbackalways show the re sults of the latest te s t a nd are not changed un til a new execution of
tstconseg or tstdelay. Therefore, re-executing dspcon does not clear the value for RTD or the
indication that an OAM loopback i s present. The only way to reset thes e fields to null is to down the

Note The primary purpose of tstdelay is to test the integrity of the connection . T h e r ou nd trip time is not
