cnfpnportrange
Configure Port Range—configure a range of VPIs or VCIs for SVCCs and SVPCs.
The cnfpnportrange command lets you spe cify a range of VPIs and V CIs on a port f or SVCCs or SVPCs
for the purpose of screening cal ls f r om another switch. If the VPI or V CI fo r on e o f th ese control
channels from another swi tch does not fall within t he range for the called por t, the called switch rejects
the call.
To execute this command, the por t mus t be d own ( see dnpnport). The maxsvccvpi default of 4095
provides the maximum advan tag e fo r n ego tia tion during ILMI auto-co nfi gu r ati on . N o te that the
maxsvccvpi parameter is limited by the highes t V P I th at t he s w itc h assigns (whether the po r t i s a UN I
or an NNI).
In addition to the port ID, you must specify at least one keyword for cnfpnportrange.

Syntax Description
portid The portid is the PNNI physical port. Th e f o rm at is
[shelf.]slot[:subslot].port[:subport]. See also PNNI Format, page 6-4.
-minsvccvpi The min-svcc-vp: minimum VPI for SVCC.
Range: 0–4095
Default: 0
-maxsvccvpi The max-svcc-vp: maximum VPI for SVCC.
Range: 0–4095
Default: 4095
-minsvccvci The min-svcc-vci: minimum VCI for SVCC.
Range: 0–65535
Default: 35
-maxsvccvci The max-svcc-vci: maximum VCI for SVCC.
Range: 32–65535
Default: 65535
