Usage Guidelines
PNNI trace commands have charac teris t ic s th at sta nd ar d d ebug c om m an ds lac k, namely:
Trace commands debug interactions be tw ee n di fferen t s oft war e m odu le s or within a module.
Trace output goes to a system trac e buffer, not to the console.
Tracing controls a more granular filtering of unnecessary debug output.

Example
Configure then display a trace t hat examines the contents of PN NI H e llo packets, as follows:
The transmit packets are traced.
The packet trace occurs at node index of 1 (the default for cnfpnni-pkttrace and therefore omitted).
The packet trace takes place on th e p ort identifier of 17504.

-portId The port ID in this instance has the f o rm at o f t he lo gi cal ID n u m be r. The form at i s a
32-bit encoded number in the rang e 12147483648. If you do not have t he port ID in
this form, use dsppnport and provide it with the common portID format of
slot[:subslot].port[:subport}. T he output of dsppnport shows the logical number for
the port ID. Use this value is fo r th e - portID parameter.
-svcIndex PNNI uses the SVC index as a reference to the SV C -b ase d, logical, horizontal link.
This parameter is meaningful only if you specify node-index.
Default: none
Note The current release does not support Routing Control Channels for
Switched Virtual Connections (S VCC-RCC), so this value must rema in 0.
