Syntax
addport <ifNum> <bay.line> <guaranteedRate> <maxrate> <sctID> <ifType>

Note For all ports, guaranteedRate must be the same as maxrate.
Syntax Description
ifNum A logical port (interface) n u m b er. Onl y on e lo gi cal p or t is a llowed if the line
operates as a UNI or NN I . Fo r t he virtual network to ne two r k i nterface (VNNI),
multiple ports can exist on a line. For AXSM, the range 1–60.
bay.line Identifies the bay (1 or 2) and the number of the line. The line number is from 1
to the highest numbered line on t h e b ack ca rd . For t he r ang e of li n e numbers on
specific AXSM models, see Table 3-1.
guaranteedRate Guaranteed rate on a port in cells per second. For all interface types (U NI , NN I,
or VNNI), guaranteedRate must be the same as maxrate. The total guaranteed
rates cannot exceed the highest value in the following ranges:
OC48: 50–5651320 cps
OC12: 50–1412830 cps
OC3: 50–353207 cps
T3: 50–96000 cps for PLCP or 104268 cps for ADM
E3: 50–80000 cps
maxRate Maximum rate on a logical port in ce lls/second. For all interface typ es (UNI,
NNI, or VNNI), guaranteedRate must be the same as maxrate. The total
maximum rates cannot exceed the highest value in the following ranges:
OC48: 50–5651320 cps
OC12: 50–1412830 cps
OC3: 50–353207 cps
T3: 50–96000 cps for PLCP or 104268 cps for ADM
E3: 50–80000 cps
