Cisco MGX 8850 Routing Switch Command Reference
Release 2.0, Part Number 78-10467-04 Rev C0, October 2001
Chapter6 Logical Node, Port, and Signaling Com m ands addpnport
Example
Add a port with the ID 6:1.1:1. Use the dsppnports co m m a nd to see if 6:1.1:1 ap pe a r s in a li st of all
ports.(If many PNNI ports already existed, you could use the dsppnport command for 6:1.1:1) It
appears at the end of the listafter the entries for BITS clock ports in the format 7.x.
Note that the IF status and the Administrative status are both up. (The IF refers to the logical interface
on the service modulethe slave side rather than the PNNI controller side.) That IF status and the
Administrative status are up indicate s that the addpart and addport commands have already been used
on the service module. If these comma nds had not been e xecut ed, IF and Admin w ould be provisioning
and down, respectively. For details on the con tent of the dsppnports command, see its description.
