Unconfiguring a Port on a Fabric Interconnect
Procedure
Step 1 Inthe Navigation pane, clickthe Equipment tab.
Step 2 Onthe Equipment tab, expand Equipment >Fabric Interconnects >Fabric_Interconnect_Name.
Step 3 Dependingupon the location of the ports you wantto unconfigure, expand one of thefollowing:
•FixedModule
•ExpansionModule
Step 4 Dependingupon the type of portyou wantto unconfigure,expand one of thefollowing:
•AppliancePorts
•FCoEStorage Ports
•ServerPorts
•StorageFC Ports
•UplinkEthernet Ports
•UplinkFC Ports
Step 5 Clickthe port orports youwant tounconfigure.
Youcan use the Shift key or Ctrl key to select multiple entries.
Step 6 Right-clickthe selected port orports andchoose Unconfigurenode.
Theport or portsare unconfigured, removed from the original node, and added to the Unconfigured Ports
node.
Appliance PortsApplianceports are only used to connect fabric interconnects to directly attached NFS storage.
Configuring an Appliance Port
Youcan configure Appliance ports on either the fixed module or an expansion module.
Thistask describes only one method of configuring appl ports. You can also configure appliance ports from
theGeneral tab for the port.
