Deleting an iSCSI vNIC from a Service Profile
Procedure
Step 1 Inthe Navigation pane, clickthe Servers tab.
Step 2 Onthe Servers tab, expand Servers >Service Profiles.
Step 3 Expandthe node for the organization that contains the service profile from which you want to delete an iSCSI
vNIC.
Step 4 Expandthe service profile from which you want to delete an iSCSI vNIC.
Step 5 Expandthe iSCSI vNICs node.
Step 6 Right-clickthe iSCSI vNICyou wantto deleteand choose Delete.
Step 7 Ifthe CiscoUCS Manager GUI displaysa confirmation dialog box, clickYes.
Setting iSCSI Boot Parameters
Youcan set iSCSI boot parameters, including the boot order, boot policy, authentication profile, initiator
interface,and target interface for an iSCSI vNIC.
Procedure
Step 1 Inthe Navigation pane, clickthe Servers tab.
Step 2 Onthe Servers tab, expand Servers >Service Profiles.
Step 3 Expandthe node for the organization that contains the service profile for which you want to create iSCSI boot
parameters.If the system does not include multi-tenancy, expand the root node.
Step 4 Clickthe service profile for which you want to create iSCSI boot parameters.
Step 5 Clickthe Boot Ordertab.
Step 6 Inthe Specific Boot Policyarea, click the down arrows to expand the iSCSI vNICs area.
Step 7 Inthe iSCSI vNICs area, double-click the iSCSI vNICs from which you want to boot the server to add them
tothe Boot Ordertable.
Step 8 Inthe iSCSI vNICs area,click the SetBoot Parameterslink.
Ifthere are two iSCSIvNICs, choose the one for whichyou wantto setboot parameters.
Step 9 Inthe Set iSCSIBoot Parametersdialog box, completethe following fields:
DescriptionName
Thename of the iSCSI vNIC for whichyou aresetting the boot
parameters.
