Creating an SNMP TrapProcedure
Step 1 Inthe Navigation pane, clickthe Admin tab.
Step 2 Onthe Admin tab, expand All >Communication Management >CommunicationServices.
Step 3 Selectthe Communication Services tab.
Step 4 Inthe SNMP Traps area, click +.
Step 5 Inthe Create SNMP Trap dialog box, complete the following fields:
DescriptionName
TheIP address of the SNMP host to which Cisco UCS Manager should
sendthe trap.
IPAddress field
TheSNMP v1 or v2c community name or the SNMP v3 username Cisco
UCSManager includes when it sends the trap to the SNMP host. This
mustbe the same as the community or username that is configured for
theSNMP service.
Enteran alphanumeric string between 1 and 32 characters. Do not use
@(at sign), \ (backslash)," (double quote), ? (question mark) or an
emptyspace.
Community/Usernamefield
Theport on which Cisco UCS Manager communicateswith the SNMP
hostfor thetrap.
Enteran integer between 1 and65535. Thedefault port is162.
Portfield
TheSNMP version and model used for the trap. This can be one of the
following:

•V2c
•V3
