Procedure
Step 1 Inthe Navigation pane, clickthe Equipment tab.
Step 2 Onthe Equipment tab, click the Equipment node.
Step 3 Inthe Work pane, click the Policies tab.
Step 4 Clickthe Server Inheritance Policiessubtab.
Step 5 Onthe icon bar tothe right of thetable, click +.
Ifthe +icon isdisabled, click an entryin thetable to enable it.
Step 6 Inthe Create Server Inheritance Policy dialog box, complete the following fields:
DescriptionName
Thename of thepolicy.Namefield
Adescription of the policy. Werecommend that you include information
aboutwhere and when the policy should be used.
Enterup to 256 characters. You can use any characters or spaces except
^(carat), \ (backslash),> (greater than), <(less than), '(single quote),
"(double quote), ` (accentmark), or = (equal sign).

Ifyou wantto associatethis policy withone ormore specificserver
pools,choose the serverpool qualification policy that identifies these
poolsfrom the drop-down list.

Ifyou want to associate an organization with this policy, or if you want
tochange the current association, choose the desired organization from
thedrop-down list.

Step 7 ClickOK.
Deleting a Server Inheritance PolicyProcedure
Step 1 Inthe Navigation pane, clickthe Equipment tab.
Step 2 Onthe Equipment tab, click the Equipment node.
Step 3 Inthe Work pane, click the Policies tab.
Step 4 Clickthe Server Inheritance Policiessubtab.
Step 5 Right-clickthe server inheritance policy that you want to delete and choose Delete.
Step 6 Ifthe CiscoUCS Manager GUI displaysa confirmation dialog box, clickYes.
