Procedure
Step 1 Inthe Navigation pane, clickthe SAN tab.
Step 2 Onthe SAN tab, expand SAN >Pools.
Step 3 Expandthe node for theorganization where you want to create the pool.
Ifthe system does not includemultitenancy, expand the root node.
Step 4 Right-clickIQN Pools and select Create IQN Suffix Pool.
Step 5 Inthe Define Name and Description page of the Create IQN Suffix Pool wizard, fill in the following fields:
DescriptionName
Thename ofthe iSCSIQualified Name (IQN) pool.
Thisname can be between 1 and 32 alphanumeric characters. You
cannotuse spaces or any special characters other than - (hyphen), _
(underscore),: (colon), and . (period), and you cannot change this name
afterthe object has beensaved.
Namefield
Theuser-defined description of thepool.
Enterup to 256 characters. You can use any characters or spaces except
^(carat), \ (backslash),> (greater than), <(less than), '(single quote),
"(double quote), ` (accentmark), or = (equal sign).
Descriptionfield
Theprefix for any IQN blocks created for this pool.
Enterfrom 1 to 150 characters. You can use any letter or number, as
wellas thespecial characters . (period),: (colon),and -(hyphen). For
example,you could useiqn1.alpha.com.
Prefixfield
Step 6 ClickNext.
Step 7 Inthe Add IQN Blocks page of the CreateIQN Suffix Pool wizard, click Add.
Step 8 Inthe Create a Block of IQN Suffixes dialog box, fill in the following fields:
DescriptionName
Thesuffix for this bock of iSCSI QualifiedNames (IQNs).
Enterfrom 1 to 64 characters. You can use any letter or number, as well
asthe specialcharacters . (period), :(colon), and- (hyphen).For
example,you could usealphadc-1.
Suffixfield
Thefirst suffix number in the block.Fromfield
Thenumber of suffixesin the pool.Sizefield
