Adding a Block to an IQN PoolProcedure
Step 1 Inthe Navigation pane, clickthe SAN tab.
Step 2 Onthe SAN tab, expand SAN >Pools.
Step 3 Expandthe node for theorganizationcontaining the pool.
Ifthe system does not includemultitenancy,expand the root node.
Step 4 Expandthe IQN Pools node.
Step 5 Right-clickthe desired IQNpool and select Create a Block of IQN Suffixes.
Step 6 Inthe Create a Block of IQN Suffixes dialog box, fill in the following fields:
DescriptionName
Thesuffix for this bock of iSCSI QualifiedNames (IQNs).
Enterfrom 1 to 64 characters. You can use any letter or number, as well
asthe specialcharacters . (period), : (colon), and - (hyphen). For
example,you could usealphadc-1.
Suffixfield
Thefirst suffix number in the block.Fromfield
Thenumber of suffixesin the pool.Sizefield
Step 7 ClickOK.
Deleting a Block from an IQN PoolIfyou deletean address block from a pool, Cisco UCS Manager does not reallocateany addresses in that
blockthat have been assigned to vNICsor vHBAs. All assigned addresses from a deleted block remain with
thevNIC or vHBAto which they are assigned until one of the following occurs:
• The associated service profiles are deleted.
• The vNIC or vHBA to which the address is assigned is deleted.
