Setting the Management IP Address on a Service Profile Template
Procedure
Step 1 Inthe Navigation pane, clickthe Servers tab.
Step 2 Onthe Servers tab, expand Servers >Service Profile Templates.
Step 3 Expandthe node for theorganization that contains the service profile template for which you want to set the
managementIP address.
Ifthe system does not includemultitenancy, expand the root node.
Step 4 Clickthe service profile template for which you want to set the management IP address.
Step 5 Inthe Work pane, click the General tab.
Step 6 Expandthe Management IP Addressarea.
Step 7 Inthe Management IPAddress Policy field, click one of the following radio buttons:
None—Nomanagement IP address is assigned to the serviceprofile. The management IP address is set
basedon the CIMC management IP address settings on the server.
Pooled—Amanagement IP addressis assignedto the serviceprofile from themanagement IP address
pool.
Step 8 ClickSave Changes.

Management IP Pool

Themanagement IP pool is a collection of external IP addresses. Cisco UCS Manager reserves each block of
IPaddresses in the management IP pool for external access that terminates in the CIMC on a server.
