Changing the WWPN for a vHBA

Procedure

Step 1 Inthe Navigation pane, clickthe Servers tab.

Step 2 Onthe Servers tab, expand Servers >Service Profiles.

Step 3 Expandthe node for theorganization that contains the service profile for which you want to change the

WWPN.

Step 4 Expand Service_Profile_Name >vHBAs.

Step 5 Clickthe vHBA for which you wantto change the WWPN.

Step 6 Inthe Work pane, click the General tab.

Step 7 Inthe Actions area, clickChange World Wide Name.

Step 8 Inthe Change WorldWide Port Name dialog box, complete the following fields:

DescriptionName

Ifyou wantto:

•Usethe defaultWWPN pool, choose Select(pool default used

bydefault).

•Usea WWPNderived fromthe manufacturer's specifications,

chooseHardware Default.

•AWWPN from apool, selectthe pool name from the list. Each

poolname isfollowed bynumber ofavailable/total WWPNs in

thepool.

•Aspecific WWPN, choose one of theWWPN templates under

Manualusing OUI and enterthe WWPN in the WWPN field.

Ifyou wantthe WWPNto becompatible with CiscoMDS

FibreChannel switches, use the manual templateand WWPN

20:00:00:25:B5:XX:XX:XX.

Themanually-assigned WWPN if the WWPN Assignment drop-down

listis set toone ofthe manualtemplates.

Youcan specify a WWPN in the range from 20:00:00:00:00:00:00:00
