Creating a Backup Operation

Before You Begin

Obtainthe backupserver IP address and authentication credentials.

Procedure

Step 1 Inthe Navigation pane, clickthe Admin tab.

Step 2 Clickthe All node.

Step 3 Inthe Work pane, click the General tab.

Step 4 Inthe Actions area, clickBackup.

Step 5 Inthe Backup Configurationdialog box, click CreateBackup Operation.

Step 6 Inthe Create Backup Operation dialog box, complete the following fields:

DescriptionName

Thiscan be one of the following:

•Enabled—CiscoUCS Manager runs the backup operation as soon

asyou clickOK.

•Disabled—CiscoUCS Manager does not run the backup operation

whenyou click OK. If you select this option, all fields in the dialog

boxremain visible. However, you must manually run the backup

fromthe Backup Configurationdialog box.
