Procedure
Step 1 Inthe Navigation pane, clickthe Equipment tab.
Step 2 Onthe Equipment tab, expand Equipment >Rack Mounts >Servers.
Step 3 Clickthe server for which you wantto determine the boot order.
Step 4 Inthe Work pane, click the General tab.
Step 5 Ifthe Boot OrderDetails area is notexpanded, click the Expandicon to the right of theheading.
Step 6 Toview the boot order assigned to the server, click the Configured Boot Order tab.
Step 7 Toview what will boot from the various devices in the physical server configuration, click the Actual Boot
Ordertab.
TheActual Boot Ordertab always shows "Internal EFI Shell" at the bottom of the boot order
list.

Whenyou use this procedure to shut down a server with an installed operating system, Cisco UCS Manager
triggersthe OS intoa gracefulshutdown sequence.
Ifthe Shutdown serverlink is dimmedin the Actionsarea, the server is not running.

Step 3 Choosethe server that you wantto shutdown.
Step 4 Inthe Work pane, click the General tab.
Step 5 Inthe Actions area, clickShutdown Server.
Step 6 Ifthe CiscoUCS Manager GUI displaysa confirmation dialog box, clickYes.
Afterthe server has been successfully shut down, the Overall Status fieldon the General tab displaysa
power-offstatus.
