IfType is set to lan, this area contains the vNIC drop-down list from
whichyou can choosethe vNIC from which the servershould boot.
Network(PXE) area
SecondaryBoot Device Section
Checkthis check box if you want to set a second boot device for this
serviceprofile. If you check this box, Cisco UCS Manager GUI displays
therest of the fields in this section.
SecondaryBoot Device check box
Thiscan be one of the following:
•local-disk—Theserver boots from itslocal disk.
•san—Theserver boots from an image stored in a SAN. If you
selectthis option, Cisco UCS Manager GUI displaysthe SAN
area.
•Lan—Theserver boots fromthe LAN.If you select this option,
CiscoUCS Manager GUI displays the Network area that lets you
specifywhich vNIC the server should use for thePXE boot.
•CD-ROM—Theserver boots from avirtual CD-ROM.
•Floppy—Theserver boots froma virtualfloppy.
