Creating a One Time Occurrence for a Schedule
Bydefault, the maximum duration and the maximum number of tasks are set to none. If you do not change
eitherof these defaults, Cisco UCS Manager does notimpose any limitto the length of timethat the
maintenancewindow lasts. All pending activities are applied as soon as the scheduled maintenance window
begins,and Cisco UCS Manager continues to reboot the servers impacted by the pending activities until
allof those tasksare complete.

Procedure
Step 1 Inthe Navigation pane, clickthe Servers tab.
Step 2 Onthe Servers tab, expand Schedules.
Step 3 Right-clickthe schedule to which you want to add an occurrence and choose Create a One Time Occurrence.
Step 4 Inthe Create a One Time Occurrence dialog box, complete the following fields:
DescriptionName
Thename of the one time occurrence of this schedule.
Thisname can be between 1 and 16 alphanumeric characters. You
cannotuse spaces or any special characters other than - (hyphen), _
(underscore),: (colon), and . (period), and you cannot change this name
afterthe object has beensaved.
Namefield
Thedate andtime that the occurrencewill run.
Clickthe down arrow at the end of the fieldto selectthe date from a
calendar.
StartTime field
Step 5 Clickthe down arrows to expand the Options area.
Step 6 Inthe Options area, completethe following fields:
DescriptionName
Themaximum length of time that the scheduled occurrence can run.
Thiscan be one of the following:
None—Theoccurrence runs untilall tasks arecompleted.
other—CiscoUCS Manager GUI displays the dd:hh:mm:ss field
allowingyou tospecify the maximumamount of timethat the
occurrencecan run. CiscoUCS completesas many scheduled
tasksas possiblewithin the specifiedtime.
Bydefault, the maximum duration is set to none. If you do not change
thissetting and you do not set a maximum number of tasks, the
maintenancewindow continues until all pending activities are completed.
