Whetherthe BIOS generatesa non-maskable interrupt (NMI)
andlogs an error when a system error (SERR) occurs. This can
beone of the following:
•disabled—TheBIOS does not generate an NMI or log an
errorwhen aSERR occurs.
•enabled—TheBIOS generates an NMI and logs an error
whena SERR occurs. You must enable this setting if you
wantto enableAssert Nmi on Perr.
•PlatformDefault—The BIOS uses the value for this
attributecontained in the BIOS defaults for the server type
andvendor.
AssertNmi on Serr
Whetherthe BIOS generatesa non-maskable interrupt (NMI)
andlogs an error when a processor bus parity error (PERR)
occurs.This can be one of the following:
•disabled—TheBIOS does not generate an NMI or log an
errorwhen aPERR occurs.
•enabled—TheBIOS generates an NMI and logs an error
whena PERRoccurs. You must enable Assert Nmi on
Serrto use this setting.
•PlatformDefault—The BIOS uses the value for this
attributecontained in the BIOS defaults for the server type
andvendor.
AssertNmi on Perr
Whetherthe BIOS programs the watchdog timer with a
predefinedtimeout value. If theoperating system doesnot
completebooting before the timer expires, the CIMC resets the
systemand an error is logged. This can be one of the following:
•disabled—Thewatchdog timer is not used to track how
longthe server takes to boot.
•enabled—Thewatchdog timer tracks how long the server
takesto boot. If the server does not boot within the
predefinedlength of time, the CIMC resets the system and
logsan error.
•PlatformDefault—The BIOS uses the value for this
attributecontained in the BIOS defaults for the server type
andvendor.
Thisfeature requires either operating system support or Intel
Managementsoftware.
