Core File Exporter

CiscoUCS Manager uses the Core File Exporter to export core files as soon as they occur to a specified
locationon the network through TFTP. This functionality allows you to export the tar file with the contents
ofthe corefile.

Configuring the Core File Exporter

Procedure
Step 1 Inthe Navigation pane, clickthe Admin tab.
Step 2 Onthe Admin tab, expand All >Faults, Events,and Audit Log.
Step 3 ClickSettings.
Step 4 Inthe Work pane, complete the following fields in the TFTP Core Exporter area:
DescriptionName
Thiscan be one of the following:
Enabled—Ifan error causes the server to perform a core dump,
thesystem sends the core dump file via FTP to a given location.
Whenthis optionis selected,Cisco UCS Manager GUIdisplays
theother fields in this area that enable you to specify the FTP
exportoptions.
Disabled—Coredump filesare not automaticallyexported.
AdminState field
Auser-defined descriptionof the corefile.
Enterup to 256 characters. You can use any characters or spaces except
^(carat), \ (backslash),> (greater than), <(less than), '(single quote),
"(double quote), ` (accentmark), or = (equal sign).
Descriptionfield
Theport number touse whenexporting the core dumpfile via TFTP.Portfield
Thehostname or IPaddress toconnect with viaTFTP.
Ifyou use a hostnamerather than an IP address, you must
configurea DNS serverin CiscoUCS Manager.
