DescriptionName
Theamount of power available to the servercomponents when
theyare idle. This can be one of the following:
c0—Theserver provides all server components with full
powerat all times. This option maintains the highest level
ofperformance and requires the greatest amount of power.
c1—Whenthe CPU is idle, the system slightly reduces
thepower consumption. This option requires less power
thanC0 and allows the server to return quickly to high
performancemode.
c3—Whenthe CPU is idle, the system reduces the power
consumptionfurther than with the C1 option. This requires
lesspower than C1 or C0, but it takes the server slightly
longerto return to high performance mode.
c6—Whenthe CPU is idle, the system reduces the power
consumptionfurther than with the C3 option. This option
savesmore power than C0, C1, or C3, but there may be
performanceissues until the server returns to full power.
no-limit—Theserver may enter any available C state.
PlatformDefault—The BIOS uses the value for this
attributecontained in the BIOS defaults for the server type
