Deleting a vNIC/vHBA Placement Policy
Procedure
Step 1 Inthe Navigation pane, clickthe Servers tab.
Step 2 Onthe Servers tab, expand Servers >Policies >Organization_Name.
Step 3 Expandthe vNIC/vHBA PlacementPolicies node.
Step 4 Right-clickthe policy youwant todelete and chooseDelete.
Step 5 Ifthe CiscoUCS Manager GUI displaysa confirmation dialog box, clickYes.
Explicitly Assigning a vNIC to a vCon
Before You Begin
Configurethe vCons through a vNIC/vHBA placement policy or in the service profile with one of the following
values:
AssignedOnly
ExcludeDynamic
ExcludeUnassigned
Ifa vConis configured for All, you can still explicitly assign a vNIC or vHBA to that vCon. However, you
haveless control with this configuration.
Procedure
Step 1 Inthe Navigation pane, clickthe Servers tab.
Step 2 Onthe Servers tab, expand Servers >Service Profiles.
Step 3 Expandthe node for theorganization which contains the service profile whose vNICs you want to explicitly
assignto a vCon.
Ifthe system does not includemultitenancy, expand the root node.
Step 4 ExpandService_Profile_Name >vNICs.
Step 5 Clickon the vNIC that you want to explicitly assign to a vCon.
Step 6 Inthe Work pane, click the General tab.
Step 7 Inthe Virtual Host Interface Placement section, complete the following fields:
