Procedure
Step 1 Inthe Navigation pane, clickthe Servers tab.
Step 2 Onthe Servers tab, expand Servers >Policies.
Step 3 Expandthe node for theorganization where you want to create the policy.
Ifthe system does not includemultitenancy, expand the root node.
Step 4 Right-clickFibre Channel Policies and choose Create Fibre Channel Adapter Policy.
Step 5 Entera name and description for the policy in the following fields:
DescriptionName
Thename of thepolicy.
Thisname can be between 1 and 16 alphanumeric characters. You
cannotuse spaces or any special characters other than - (hyphen), _
(underscore),: (colon), and . (period), and you cannot change this name
afterthe object has beensaved.
Namefield
Adescription of the policy. Werecommend that you include information
aboutwhere and when the policy should be used.
Enterup to 256 characters. You can use any characters or spaces except
^(carat), \ (backslash),> (greater than), <(less than), '(single quote),
"(double quote), ` (accentmark), or = (equal sign).

Step 6 (Optional) In the Resources area, adjust the following values:
DescriptionName
Thenumber oftransmit queue resourcesto allocate.
Thisvalue cannot be changed.
TransmitQueues field
Thenumber of descriptors in each transmit queue. This parameter applies
toExtended Link Services (ELS) and Common Transport (CT) fibre
channelframes for genericservices. It does notaffect adapter
performance.
Enteran integer between 64 and 128. The default is 64.
RingSize field
Thenumber ofreceive queue resourcesto allocate.
Thisvalue cannot be changed.
ReceiveQueues field
Thenumber of descriptors in each receive queue. This parameter applies
toExtended Link Services (ELS) and Common Transport (CT) fibre
channelframes for genericservices. It does notaffect adapter
performance.
Enteran integer between 64 and 128. The default is 64.
