• Logical configuration

Before You Begin

Collectthe following informationthat you will need to import a configuration file:

• Backup server IP address and authentication credentials

• Fully qualified name of a backup file

Procedure

Step 1 Inthe Navigation pane, clickthe Admin tab.

Step 2 Clickthe All node.

Step 3 Inthe Work pane, click the General tab.

Step 4 Inthe Actions area, clickImport Configuration.

Step 5 Inthe Import Configuration dialog box, click CreateImport Operation.

Step 6 Inthe Create Import Operation dialog box, complete the following fields:

DescriptionName

Thiscan be one of the following:

•Enabled—CiscoUCS runs the import operation as soon as you

clickOK.

•Disabled—CiscoUCS does not run the import operation when

youclick OK. If you select this option, all fields in the dialog box

remainvisible. However, you must manually run the import from

theImport Configurationdialog box.

AdminState field

Thiscan be one of the following:

•Merge—Theconfiguration information is merged with the existing

information.If thereare conflicts,the system replacesthe

informationon the current system with the information in the

importconfiguration file.

•Replace—Thesystem takes each object in the import configuration

fileand overwrites the corresponding object in the current

configuration.
