Procedure
Step 1 Inthe Navigation pane, clickthe Equipment tab.
Step 2 Onthe Equipment tab, expand Equipment >Chassis >Chassis Number >Servers.
Step 3 Choosethe server for which you wantto viewthe actual BIOS settings.
Step 4 Onthe Work pane, click the Inventory tab.
Step 5 Clickthe Motherboard subtab.
Step 6 Inthe BIOS Settingsarea, click the Expand icon to theright of theheading to open that area.
Eachtab in the BIOS Settings area displays the settings for that server platform. Some of the tabs contain
subtabswith additionalinformation.
Configuring IPMI Access Profiles

IPMI Access Profile

Thispolicy allows you to determine whether IPMI commands can be sent directly to the server, using the IP
address.For example,you can sendcommands to retrievesensor data fromthe CIMC. Thispolicy defines
theIPMI access, including a username and password that can be authenticated locally on the server, and
whetherthe access is read-onlyor read-write.
Youmust include this policy in a service profile and that service profile must be associated with a server for
itto takeeffect.

Creating an IPMI Access Profile

Before You Begin
AnIPMI profilerequires that one or more of thefollowing resources already exist in the system:
• Username with appropriate permissions that can be authenticated by the operating system of the server
• Password for the username
• Permissions associated with the username
Procedure
Step 1 Inthe Navigation pane, clickthe Servers tab.
Step 2 Onthe Servers tab, expand Servers >Policies.
Step 3 Expandthe node for theorganization where you want to create the policy.
Ifthe system does not includemultitenancy, expand the root node.
Step 4 Right-clickIPMI Profiles and select Create IPMI Profiles.
Step 5 Inthe Create IPMI Profile dialog box:
