Updating the Capability Catalog from a Remote Location

Youcannot perform a partial update to the Capability Catalog. When you update the Capability Catalog, all

componentsincluded in thecatalog image are updated.

AB-series server bundle includes the Capability Catalog update for that server. You do not need to download

aseparate CapabilityCatalog update. You only need to activate the Capability Catalog update.

Procedure

Step 1 Inthe Navigation pane, clickthe Admintab.

Step 2 Onthe Admin tab, expand All.

Step 3 Clickthe Capability Catalog node.

Step 4 Inthe Work pane, click the Catalog Update Tasks tab.

Step 5 ClickUpdate Catalog.

Step 6 Inthe Update Catalog dialog box, click the Remote File System radio button in the Location of the Image

Filefield.

Step 7 Completethe following fields:

DescriptionName

Theprotocol touse whencommunicating with theremote server.This

canbe one of the following:

•FTP

•TFTP

•SCP

•SFTP

Protocolfield

TheIP address or hostnameof the remoteserver on which the catalog

imageresides.

Serverfield

Thename ofthe catalogexecutable you wantto download.Filenamefield

Theabsolute path to the catalog image file on the remote server, if

required.

Ifyou use SCP, the absolute path is always required. If you use any

otherprotocol, you may not need to specifya remotepath if the file

residesin the default download folder. For details about how your file

serveris configured,contact your systemadministrator.

Pathfield

Theusername the system should use to log in to the remote server. This

fielddoes not applyif the protocol is TFTP.

Userfield

Thepassword for the remote server username. This field does not apply

ifthe protocol is TFTP.

Passwordfield
