Procedure
Step 1 Inthe Navigation pane, clickthe SAN tab.
Step 2 Onthe SAN tab, expand SAN >SAN Cloud.
Step 3 Inthe Work pane, click the VSANs tab.
Step 4 Onthe icon bar tothe right of thetable, click +.
Ifthe +icon isdisabled, click an entryin thetable to enable it.
Step 5 Inthe Create VSAN dialog box, complete the following fields:
DescriptionName
Thename assigned to thenetwork.
Thisname can be between 1 and 32 alphanumeric characters. You
cannotuse spaces or any special characters other than - (hyphen), _
(underscore),: (colon), and . (period), and you cannot change this name
afterthe object has beensaved.
Namefield
Specifieswhether the defaultzone in thisVSAN permits ordenies
accessamong its members.The default zone includes all nodesnot
assignedto a specific zone. This can be one of the following:
Enabled—alltraffic is permitted among members of the default
zone.
Disabled—alltraffic is denied among members of the default
zone.
Youcannot change the zoning after the object has been saved.
DefaultZoning field
Clickthe radio button to determine how the VSAN should be configured.
Thiscan be one of the following:
Common/Global—TheVSAN maps to the same VSAN ID in all
availablefabrics.
FabricA—The VSAN maps to the a VSAN ID that exists only
infabric A.
FabricB—The VSAN maps to the a VSAN ID that exists only
infabric B.
BothFabrics Configured Differently—The VSAN maps to a
differentVSAN ID in each available fabric. If you choose this
option,Cisco UCS Manager GUI displaysa VSANID field and
aFCoEVLAN field for eachfabric.
