Procedure

Step 1 Inthe Navigation pane, clickthe LAN tab.

Step 2 Onthe LAN tab, expand LAN >Policies.

Step 3 Expandthe node for theorganization where you want to create the policy.

Ifthe system does not includemultitenancy, expand the root node.

Step 4 Right-clickthe vNIC Templatesnode and choose Create vNIC Template.

Step 5 Inthe Create vNIC Template dialog box:

a) In the General area, complete the following fields:

DescriptionName

Thename of thevNIC template.

Thisname can be between 1 and 16 alphanumeric characters. You

cannotuse spaces or any special characters other than - (hyphen), _

(underscore),: (colon), and . (period), and you cannot change this

nameafter the object has beensaved.

Namefield

Auser-defined descriptionof the template.

Enterup to 256 characters. You can use any characters or spaces

except^ (carat), \ (backslash), > (greater than), < (less than), ' (single

quote)," (double quote), ` (accentmark), or = (equal sign).
