Configuring a Rack Server to Use the Management IP Pool
Ifthis action is greyed out, the server is alreadyconfigured to use the management IP pool.
Procedure
Step 1 Inthe Navigation pane, clickthe Equipment tab.
Step 2 Onthe Equipment tab, expand Equipment >Rack Mounts >Servers.
Step 3 Clickthe server that you want to configure to use the management IP pool.
Step 4 Inthe Work pane, click the Inventory tab.
Step 5 Clickthe CIMC subtab.
Step 6 Inthe Actions area, clickUse Pooled Management IP.
Step 7 Ifthe CiscoUCS Manager GUI displaysa confirmation dialog box, click Yes.
Step 8 ClickOK.
Setting the Management IP Address on a Service ProfileProcedure
Step 1 Inthe Navigation pane, clickthe Servers tab.
Step 2 Onthe Servers tab, expand Servers >Service Profiles.
Step 3 Expandthe node for the organization that contains the service profile for which you want to set the management
IPaddress.
Ifthe system does not includemultitenancy, expand the root node.
Step 4 Clickthe service profile for which you want to set the management IP address.
Step 5 Inthe Work pane, click the General tab.
Step 6 Expandthe Management IP Addressarea.
Step 7 Inthe Management IPAddress Policy field, click one of the following radio buttons:
•None—Nomanagement IP address is assigned to the serviceprofile. The management IP address is set
basedon the CIMC management IP address settings on the server.
•Static—Astatic management IP address is assigned to the service profile, based on the information
enteredin this area.
•Pooled—Amanagement IP addressis assignedto the serviceprofile from themanagement IP address
pool.
Step 8 Ifyou selectedstatic, complete the followingfields:
