408STP Commands

Syntax set spantree portvlancost port-listcost cost {all vlan vlan-id}

port-list

List of ports. WSS Software applies the cost change to all the specified

 

ports.

vlan vlan-id

Numeric value. You can specify a value from 1 through 65,535. STP selects lower-cost paths over higher-cost paths.

Changes the cost on all VLANs.

VLAN name or number. WSS Software changes the cost on only the specified VLAN.

Defaults The default port cost depends on the port speed and link type. (See Table 58 on page 396.) Access Enabled.

Examples The following command changes the cost on ports 3 and 4 to 20 in VLAN mauve:

WSS# set spantree portvlancost 3,4 cost 20 vlan mauve

success: change accepted.

Changes the priority of a network port or ports for selection as part of the path to the STP root bridge, on one VLAN or all VLANs.

Syntax set spantree portvlanpri port-listpriority value {all vlan vlan-id}

vlan vlan-id

List of ports. WSS Software changes the priority on the specified ports.

Priority value. You can specify a value from 0 (highest priority) through 255 (lowest priority).

Changes the priority on all VLANs.

VLAN name or number. WSS Software changes the priority on only the specified VLAN.

Defaults The default STP priority for all network ports is 128. Access Enabled.
