AP Commands

Use AP commands to configure and manage APs. Be sure to do the following before using the commands:

Define the country-specific IEEE 802.11 regulations on the WSS. (See set system countrycode on page 63.)

Install the AP and connect it to a port on the WSS. (See the Nortel Access Point 2330/2330A/2330B Installation Guide or Nortel Series 2332 Access Point Installation Guide.)

Configure an AP access port (for a directly connected AP) or a AP. (See set port type ap on page 41 and set ap on page 33.)

Caution! Changing the system country code after AP configuration disables APs and deletes their configuration. If you change the country code on a WSS, you must reconfigure all APs.

Note. For Series 2332 access points, be sure the system country code is supported for the selected access point model.
