set system ip-address

Sets the system IP address so that it can be used by various services in the WSS.

Caution! Any currently configured Mobility Domain operations cease if you change the IP address. If you change the address, you must reset the Mobility Domain.

Syntax set system ip-address ip-addr

ip-addr

IP address, in dotted decimal notation.

Defaults None.

Access Enabled.

Examples The following command sets the IP address of the WSS to 192.168.253.1:

WSS# set system ip-address 192.168.253.1

success: change accepted.

set system location

Stores location information for the WSS.

Syntax set system location string

string Alphanumeric string up to 256 characters long and blank spaces are accepted.

Defaults None.

Access Enabled.

Usage You cannot include spaces in the system location string. To view the system location string, type the show system command.

Examples To store the location of the WSS in the switch’s configuration, type the following command:

WSS# set system location first-floor-bldg3

success: change accepted.
