3.Set DS1 type to “drop” with the following command: set ds1 <n> type drop

Example:

set ds1 20 type drop

4.Set drop DS1 frame type to D4 or ESF with the following command: set ds1 <n> framing <d4esf>

Example:

set ds1 20 framing esf

5.Set drop DS1 line code to AMI or B8ZS with the following command: set ds1 <n> linecode <amib8zs>

Example:

set ds1 20 linecode b8zs

6.Set drop DS1 circuit ID with the following command: set ds1 <n> id <"id">

Example: set ds1 20 id "Acme Corp DS1#20"

The ID may contain up to 30 characters and must be enclosed in quote marks.

7.Set drop DS1 clock source to normal or loop with the following command: set ds1 <n> clock <normalloop>

Example:

set ds1 20 clock normal

8.Set drop DS1 line buildout (lbo) to required DSX-1 equalization or CSU attenuation with the following command:

set ds1 <n> lbo <setting>

Example:

set ds1 20 lbo 8

The setting is a number from 1 to 9, and is defined as follows:

Setting Definition

1Set DSX-1 equalization for 0-133 ft.

2Set DSX-1 equalization for 133-266 ft.

3Set DSX-1 equalization for 266-399 ft.

4Set DSX-1 equalization for 399-533 ft.

5Set DSX-1 equalization for 533-666 ft.

6Set CSU attenuation for LBO of 0dB.

7Set CSU attenuation for LBO of -7.5dB.

8Set CSU attenuation for LBO of -15dB.

9Set CSU attenuation for LBO of -22.5dB.

NOTE: When loop request code detection is turned on, the Access Navigator will respond to T1.403 ESF bit patterned loop requests.

9.Set drop DS1 loop request code detection to on or off with the following command: set ds1 <n> loopdetect <onoff>
