ACO

Purpose: Alarm Cutoff (ACO) command turns off all alarm relay outputs from the Access Navigator to the facility alarm system. If logged into the Access Navigator, send the aco command. The ACO function will be reset if a new alarm event occurs with the same severity (critical, major, minor). Normal operation will resume when all alarms have been cleared.

Security: Level 3 (monitor)

Syntax: aco

NOTE: If standing next to the Access Navigator, you can press the ACO pushbutton switch on the Controller displaying the alarm indication. The ACO indicator will light while the alarm relays are cut off.

Add Interface

Purpose: Creates a new fractional interface with a user defined name. A fractional interface is a set of sequential DS0s in the same DS1, such as DS0s 19 through 24. Typical applications include fractional T1 connections for private networks and high-speed data. Use the delete interface command to remove an interface and its connections.

NOTE: Crossconnections between DS0s in the Access Navigator (connect ds0) must be made before adding a fractional interface (add interface) to connect DS0s in the Access Bank II (connect interface). This is necessary to prevent connections between incompatible DS0s, such as voice and data.

NOTE: When provisioning the Access Bank II, you must first use the add interface command to create a fractional interface, specifying the interface name and the DS0s to be used. Then you can use the connect interface command to connect the DS0s to the desired remote Access Bank II voice or data interface. To make an internal crossconnect between the remote T1 Drop and another remote port, use the add interface command with the <type> set to remote.

Each Access Navigator can support up to 64 fractional interfaces. Each DS1 can have several fractional interfaces, but each remote SDSL, RS-232, or V.35 port can have only one fractional interface. A T1 Drop port can have several fractional interfaces to support voice, data, and GR-303 traffic using different DS0s.
