BERT Log

Using CLI commands, the Access Navigator can perform a variety of Bit Error Rate Tests. BERT data is recorded in a separate log file, which can be displayed using the CLI log bert command (see Log BERT on page 18-40). Filtering options allow the user to display selected events. The Access Navigator records the following BERT data.

￿￿FBE – Number of Frame Bit Errors in one-second interval ￿￿BE – Number of Bit Errors in one-second interval

￿￿CRC – Number of Cyclical Redundancy Check errors in one-second interval

￿￿BPV/LCV – Number of Bi-Polar Violations and Line Code Violations in one-second interval

Syntax: log bert

Displays only BERT events.

Syntax: clear bert log

Erases all data in the BERT log file.

TMC Log

The Access Navigator / GR-303 records Timeslot Management Channel data for the most recent 200 error reports in a separate log file. TMC data can be displayed using the CLI log tmc command (see Log TMC on page 18-43). Command options allow the user to display data for permanent (off-hook) call states and specific CRV numbers.

Syntax: log tmc

Displays all configuration events.

Syntax: log tmc permanent

Displays only TMC events for permanent (off-hook) call states.

Syntax: log tmc crv <value>

Displays only CRV events for a specific value, 1 to 768.
