Set DS0 Type

NOTE: If the DS0 is part of a fractional interface used to provision a remote Access Bank II, the DS0 type can not be changed without first deleting the fractional interface.

Purpose: Specifies the DS0 channel type on “Drop” DS1s. There are three types: Voice, Data, and GR-303. The distinction is important because Voice and GR-303 channels use robbed-bit signaling, except when GR-303 carries ISDN BRI traffic, while Data is always a clear channel.
